Building a Collaborative City
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that collaboration in Plymouth doesn’t happen by accident—it’s something we grow, together.
At a recent gathering, over 50 people from across sectors and communities came together to talk about what helps and hinders real collaboration. Some of us have worked together for years; others were meeting for the first time. But the energy was clear: people want to do things differently.
We asked, “What makes collaboration work?” The answers were honest and practical: shared purpose, clear roles, time to build trust, and flexibility when things shift.
One person shared: “We need spaces where we’re not just reacting. Where we can think and plan together.”
These events are more than networking—they’re a chance to reflect, recalibrate, and remind ourselves that no one’s doing this alone.
We’re committed to making space for this kind of connection, because a more collaborative city is one where no one feels forgotten.
