Insights from Workshop Reflections
We’re discovering that slowing down and making space to listen—really listen—makes all the difference. Across our Belong in Plymouth workshops, we’re creating room for reflection, grounding, and deeper conversation.
As Matt Bell shared: 'Kiven is working up the detail for the venue, invites, food and the preparation meetings we need.' Behind every session is thoughtful planning, and that structure creates space for something more human.
Leona Novakova captured the spirit of these gatherings beautifully: 'Could we book next time more time for meetings—to not have to rush through all and have time to land, ground ourselves, check-in and check-out, practise the change we want to see, and bring more of the humanity in?' This is exactly the kind of facilitation we’re moving toward.
It’s not just about workshops in one area either. As Rebecca Muncey pointed out: 'You're right Leona, conversations have been collected Plymouth-wide, not just in Barne Barton and St Budeaux.' The insights we’re drawing come from across the city—and they’re reshaping our collective understanding.
Our sessions now include more structured facilitation, better pacing, and space for creative co-design. And importantly, we’re learning to hold both the logistical and emotional aspects with equal care.
These aren’t just meetings. They’re spaces for community wisdom to take root.
